Mozart’s Holiday Lights Tradition Begins Its New Season

November 29, 2016by Brian Talley

The Mozart’s Coffee Roasters Holiday Light Show has kicked off its 2016 holiday season! A perennial favorite with Austinites and even visitors, the light show season began a few days before Thanksgiving and will run until the first week of January, until January 8. Other than upcoming closures on Christmas Eve night and Christmas Day, the show will run nightly each hour from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.

The twelve-minute, family friendly light show includes new songs We Three Kings, the UT Fight song, and Pharrell’s hit song, Happy. The event is free to attendees, with coffee, hot chocolate, desserts, and other items available for purchase from Mozart’s, including specialty hot chocolates, like peppermint, pumpkin spice, and cinnamon. According to the Mozart’s Facebook page, they also will be offering “pizza rolls from Austin’s Pizza, fresh cotton candy, decadent brownie sundaes, and happy face cupcakes inspired by this year’s light show theme!”

Mozart’s, at 3825 Lake Austin Boulevard, is set along the shores of Lake Austin and offers beautiful views of the water and nearby homes, in addition to its holiday light display. Visit for more information. See KEYE anchor Allison Miller string lights for the holiday display.

Mozart’s recommends planning to park in the free lot across from Mozart’s on the north side of Lake Austin Boulevard. They also recommend arriving at least 30 minutes early to find a parking spot, a seat, and to place your order. Friendly dogs are welcome.
