The Lake Austin Spa Resort announced a new Lake Austin Culinary Experience™ program that will be hosted one week of each month and will include restaurateurs, cookbook authors, James Beard award winners, and acclaimed television personalities in intimate gatherings with guests. With up to 20 daily classes and activities and over 100 spa treatments, guests now will be able to partake of an overall health and wellness experience during their stay. Guests also will enjoy the healthy gourmet fare of the resort’s Executive Chef Stéphane Beaucamp.
Sample included activities for guests, in addition to daily cooking demonstrations, include The World of Wine, All About Olive Oil, Guided Organic Garden Tour, Hands on Lunch and Learn, Seasonal Superfoods, and Smoothie Express.
Upcoming guests for May 2018 include Marge Perry, who has ghost- and co-written nearly 20 chef and celebrity food and nutrition books; David Bonom, who has worked at prestigious restaurants and is one of only a few culinary professionals who has earned the Certified Culinary Professional designation; and Shaun O’Neale, who was Season 7 Champion of MasterChef on FOX.
For June, upcoming guests include Johnny Vee Vollertsen, director and creator of The Las Cosas Cooking School in Santa Fe, New Mexico; Brian Moses, Executive Chef at Austin’s Olive & June; and Amanda Cushman, a culinary educator at Chapel Hill Cooking Classes.
July guests include Sara Moulton, host of numerous television cooking shows; Kimmie Rhodes, an Austin musician with multi-platinum selling songs who will share her recipes and stories; and Justin Chapple, Senior Test Kitchen Editor at FOOD & WINE.
