Heads up, Austin luxury buyers. Chanel is coming to Austin. The company that produces luxury lines of perfumes, jewelry, handbags, skincare, and more has purchased 50 acres east of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, according to county deed records and city documents and as reported by numerous outlets, including KVUE.
The project is set for FM 973 near Texas Highway 71 and the Texas 130 toll road. It is rumored that what will be manufactured at the plant will be the brand’s skincare lines. The sales price for the project was undisclosed, but the property is near where grocer HEB purchased 17 acres in 2016.
Records indicate the site will consist of a “manufacturing warehouse with associated site improvements (utilities, parking, detention and water quality ponds.)”
